From November 26th to 28th the meeting that will illustrate the actions of the NAWAMED project – Nature based solutions for domestic water reuse in Mediterranean countries – starts in the city of Latina.
Provincia di Latina has obtained a co-financing from ENI CBC MED for the project that works for a sustainable management of water resources in the Mediterranean area of the European Union.
Nawamed lasts 3 years and it will build a phyto-purification plant in Latina city. It is a technology based on the natural treatment of waste water, which will allow a recycling economy.
During the meeting, the project partners Iridra, Svi.Med, Certe Tunisia, University of Jordan, Energy Water Agency Malta, American University of Beirut Lebanon and Provincia di Latina will explain the various steps that will lead to the construction of the new purification system and will discuss the many planned actions.
In the countries involved in the project, Nawamed will make available phyto-purifying green walls, compact phyto-purification solutions for use in Lebanon refugee camps and water-saving kits.
Training sessions will also be activated to involve the experts and improve people knowledge.
