This preparatory action consists of the development and signature of land stewardship agreements by the actors involved in the concrete actions (C3-C9). Land stewardship agreements are voluntary agreements between the landowner (Private or Public institution) and the “land stewardship organization” (users such as farmers, associations or NGOs) for the management of the areas and the protection of biodiversity. Through these agreements, the project wants to directly involve the actors of the territory in its care and management, integrating the protection of nature and of the biodiversity in policies, tools and forms of management linked to rural development.
The agreements are written documents (contracts or conventions) regarding the whole property or a part of it; their duration varies according to the stewardship option chosen (no less than 10 years):
- support to management
- management transfer
- property transfer
